THE CHALLENGE:
My client came to me with diamonds and rubies from two other rings she had. She wanted to consolidate the stones into one ring. One of the requirements was that the ring be comfortable to wear everyday, and that the stones be set so they would not catch on clothing. My client wanted a ring of classic design, and wearablitiy.
THE JOURNEY:
I presented my client with numerous design options: band width, stone placement, metal choice, metal finish, and of course, budget options. After narrowing the options, I carved the wax model for the final band and presented it to my client for final approval. I also made sure that the wax model of the ring fit her finger.
THE SOLUTION:
A beautiful 14K gold 10 mm ring with satin finish, flush mounted rubies and diamonds (6 of each)in a repetitive, diagonal pattern. Since my client already had the stones, the cost of the ring was fare less than if she had purchased new stones to be set in this ring. Both my client and I were extremely satisfied with the ring. My client receives many compliments on her beautiful new ring.
